Cardly Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 November 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Cardly app (“the app”), made by Charlie Auchter (“I”, “me”). By using the app you agree to them.
1. Licence
I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, which also applies. If the two conflict, Apple’s agreement prevails on the points it covers.
2. Your content
You own the information you put on your card. You are responsible for it being accurate and for having the right to share it, including any photo or logo you add. Information is stored on your device; I do not host or have access to it.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to share unlawful, misleading, harassing or infringing content, to impersonate another person or organisation, or to collect other people’s details in a way that breaks the law. Do not reverse engineer, copy or redistribute the app except as the law allows.
4. Cards you receive
Cards you receive are provided by other people. I do not verify them. Treat links and contact details in received cards with care, as you would any other message.
5. Price and features
This version of the app is free and all features are available. I may introduce paid features or subscriptions in a future version. If I do, pricing and terms will be shown before you buy, purchases will be handled by Apple, and these terms will be updated.
6. Availability and changes
I may update, change or discontinue features of the app. Some features, such as NFC sharing, may not be available in every version or on every device.
7. Warranty and liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, I exclude warranties not set out here and I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data (back up your device regularly). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.
8. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. I may end your licence if you breach these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights in your own country.
10. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
