The quickest way is the support form, which asks for the details I need. You can also email [email protected]. I usually reply within a few days.
For a bug, it helps to include:
- Your iPhone model and iOS version.
- The Cardly version (Settings, then Version, inside the app).
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot, if you can. Please remove anything private first.
Common questions
How do I share my card?
Open Cardly, go to Home, and pick AirDrop or QR code. The other person receives your card in Cardly. Right now the other person needs Cardly installed.
How do I save a card someone shared with me?
Received cards go to your Library. You can also save one to your iPhone's Contacts from the card's detail screen. Cardly asks for Contacts access only when you do this.
Why does Cardly ask for camera access?
Only to scan another Cardly user's QR code. Nothing from the camera is saved or sent anywhere.
Can I choose what happens when I receive a card?
Yes. In Settings, under When I Receive a Card, choose whether Cardly asks first, saves silently, or saves and sends a notification.
I turned on App Lock and I'm locked out.
App Lock uses Face ID or Touch ID through iOS. Check that it is set up and enabled for Cardly in iOS Settings. If you are still stuck, email me with your iPhone model and iOS version.
Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?
Only on your iPhone. Cardly has no accounts or servers. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple may include Cardly's data in your device backup.
How do I delete my data?
Edit or delete any card inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything from your device. I hold no copy, so there is nothing to delete on my side.
Does Cardly support NFC tap?
Not yet. NFC sharing is planned for a later update.
I joined the waitlist on the website. How do I get removed?
Email me from the address you signed up with and I will remove it.
